2021 Recap: Our AI, DEI, and what we’re looking forward to in 2022!

What a year 2021 was! It sometimes seemed like the news cycle wouldn’t let us rest. But one exciting development had us on the edge of our seats: the acceleration of the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in new and unexpected places. 

In the HR industry, AI finally became a viable and efficient tool in 2021. More HR leaders have started to use and even embrace it. Considering this technology provides the significant, measurable improvements that recruiters desperately need in our currently-limited talent market, the rise in use makes perfect sense.  

Here at Talenya, we are thrilled to be at the forefront of this advancement with our AI-powered automatic talent-sourcing platform. Here are just a few things we’re excited to report from Talenya’s 2021. 

Practicing and Promoting Diversity Hiring 

One of Talenya’s main goals is create more diverse, equitable recruitment possibilities with our AI platform. We also hold our own recruitment practices to high standards of diversity and equity as well, and in 2021 we were proud to be recognized for our DE&I accomplishments: 

  1. Vation Ventures highlighted Talenya as one company which is helping to create a more diverse workforce in their Tech For Good Roundup. This report celebrates companies which are making measurable strides toward social responsibility, sustainability, and diversity. 
  2. Power in Diversity‘s Women In Startups Report showed that Talenya has the 4th highest representation of women among companies of our size. As one of hundreds of young companies like us, we take this ranking as both an accomplishment and a call to action.

There’s still plenty of work to be done in diversifying our industry. In 2022 we plan to stay at the forefront of these efforts.   

Expanding Our Client Base and Capabilities 

In 2021, the list of clients using Talenya’s AI recruiting software continued to grow. We are excited to work with each of these companies, some of whom are just starting out and some of whom are so large and established as to be household names.

We also added new ways to use Talenya to comb through our ever-expanding database of 1.5 billion professional profiles, including new DE&I-specific capabilities and new features for our fully-automated AI sourcing. 

Growing Our Executive Team 

This year we added many new faces to the Talenya family, including several new executives who are helping us uphold our standards of excellence. Their wide-reaching expertise and extensive, diverse experience are an important part of how we continue to stay ahead of industry trends.
